Do Now #2: What does the word interactive mean to an audience?

Interactive means that the audience is able to join in on all the action of a presentation or something. It is beneficial to the internet and selling products so that the audience will be able to get a taste of the product before they buy it.

I do not really know much about animations, sorry.

My favorite animated TV show is Family Guy. My favorite is Peter Griffin; he is funny because he can think of pretty much anything funny to say in any given situation.

I do not like presenting my work because I find it embarrassing to speak my mind.

The key elements for a good speech would be good posture and a clear voice so the people can understand you.

I do not think there is a difference.

Powerpoint is a helpful tool for presentations because you can separate your ideas into different slides.

5.  When do you think you will be using power point after high school?

I will probably be using it in college.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was one heck of a guy, he made such a huge impact on society and without him, it would probably be a very different society.  Many people followed him in his footsteps, he even has his own holiday!  According to bio.com,  “His philosophy of nonviolent direct action sparked the conscience of a generation and led to significant social change that is now woven into the fabric of American life.”

Colleges

I choose these colleges because they all meet the requirements for good colleges.  These colleges stand out because they are small colleges, which I feel is perfect for me.  Also the cost of the schools are right for me, not too cheap, not too expensive, just right.  Plus, these schools have great majors for subjects that I am good at, such as Mathematics or Chemistry.  If I had to choose 3 out of the 6 colleges that I originally chosen, I would choose Brown University, Stanford University, and the University of Pennsylvania.  These three colleges fit all the requirements for a good college in my eyes.

Social Media Revolution

I think that this social media revolution thing is pretty crazy.  After watching the video, it made me think that the internet is the most used thing in the world.  A lot of people use many sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.  It is not only kids using these sites either, adults are using these sites from ages 55-60.

Another CNN Current

A man who pleaded guilty to perpetrating a hoax by saying his 6-year-old son was drifting over Colorado in a balloon began his jail sentence Monday.  This man was unaware of his child not being in the balloon, but regardless, he is guilty.  The judge sentenced Him to spend 90 days in custody. He will spend 30 days and nights in jail but is eligible for work release during the last 60 days of his sentence, said Linda Jensen, a spokeswoman for the district attorney.

He told authorities in October that his son, Falcon, was drifting over eastern Colorado in a homemade balloon that had come loose from its moorings in the family’s backyard. Authorities raced to track the balloon while puzzling over ways to rescue the boy inside.  To me, this is such an unfair punishment, He never tried to harm anyone nor fool them.

CNN current event

Recently there has been underground dog fighting going on and about twenty-six people were arrested because of the cruelty towards the 500 dogs.  Most dogs were severely hurt in these fights, most lost their eyes, lips, or even limbs.  The losing dog would be hung, drowned, or even electrocuted. thankfully, most of these dog fighting bussiness’ are taken care of, but many are still out there.

My opinion to the quote on mrs. Fagan’s Blog

To me the quote means that in order to be popular, you can not do the right things, you have to do the wrong things.  Although, by being popular, you are usually never doing the right things because you are following other.  If your don’t follow the other popular people, it will affect your popularity.
